- Description
- In September, Maika'i members are invited to donate up to $249 to participating non-profit organizations. Donations exceeding $249 per organization, made without a Maika’i membership or exceeding $249 for the same organization will not be matched. Foodland and Western Union Foundation will match a portion of each donation up to a total of at least $300,000 for all organizations combined. If total customer donations exceed $300,000, the matching gift will be divided among all participating organizations.
- Benefits
- Matching gifts will be calculated at the end of the program. Organizations will receive 100% of all customer donations given to their organization, plus a portion of Foodland and the Western Union Foundation's $300,000 matching gift. Customers can help increase the matching gift by donating their Maika’i points, rounding up their grocery purchases, donating spare change, or purchasing Give Aloha merchandise (100% of profits from sales of Give Aloha merchandise will be donated to the matching gift fund).
